Objectives
The Canadian Robotics Stakeholder Meeting will serve as a venue for collecting data and viewpoints to initiate the development of a Canadian Robotics Innovation Roadmap.
The main objectives of the event are to:
- Build consensus around a vision for robotics in Canada via facilitated brainstorming sessions
- Conduct internal and external environment scans based on input from Canadian and international experts in order to identify Canada’s unique opportunities and challenges relative to the global competition
- Facilitate networking by bringing robotics stakeholders from across the country together, including startups, researchers, robotic product and service providers, industry end-users, investors, and the provincial and federal governments, as well as representatives from education, economics, policy, law, and communications who work at the intersection of robotics innovation
- Create a multidisciplinary working group that will carry Canada’s robotics strategy forward
The stakeholder meeting is meant to build on the IROS Workshop that takes place on Thursday September 28th at the Vancouver Convention Centre. Stakeholder Meeting attendees are encouraged to attend both days.
